I'm not surprised the Simpsons aren't very popular in the Middle East. Perhaps I'm guilty of stereotyping but...they don't strike me as a society that's open to making fun of itself. And that was one of the charms of the Simpsons...dysfunctional but still lovable. They made fun of themselves, of you, of everything. Meanwhile, I keep hearing that Arab men find it acceptable to kill someone for besmirching their honor. I think it'll take them a while to warm up to "Omar Shamshoon"
