You are so much more organized about this than I am. I started tagging the entries. But really I stopped posting and that's where I fell apart. I'm pretty sure I made it for 2006 but who knows really and I'm not going back to figure it out.

But you've inspired me to play again in 2007.

Oh I didn't get around to posting about everything but I did update the master list. I think I might've missed one or two dishes but I couldn't think of what they were. Luckily, I almost always grab a photo so I can scan back through my photos and see what I ate before. Glad you're playing again this year :)

Did I ever give you my lentil and couscous soup recipe? good to hear from you again! I havent been here much myself lately.

Oooh...I'd definitely like to see your lentil and couscous recipe. Sounds awfully healthy but possibly tasty too. Nice to see you again.

K here ya go.

Lentil Couscous soup.
2 servings

2 14 1/2 once cans of chicken broth
1/4 cup of lentils
2 bay leaves
3 cloves of garlic minced
1 tablespoon of minced onion
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/4 cup of quick cooking couscous
1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Simmer first 6 ingredients in heavy large saucepan over medium heat until lentils are very tender, about 1 hour.

Add couscous and lemon juice. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve with fresh french bread.

yumm makes me want to make it again now!

If you like cookies that aren't too sweet, try the ginger citrus cookies I made -- I posted the recipe in December sometime before the 20th. I've set a goal of not getting as much takeout this year and the natural consequence of that is cooking at home more often. Sooner or later I get bored with the recipes I already know, so I love seeing new recipes and reading reviews. BTW, I made a very basic, not terribly authentic paella earlier this month that was pretty good but you definintely need to use short grain rice for it. Good to read you again -- how have you been?...

Yay! I'm trying to do 70 recipes this year, but so far I'm really behind. It might be too ambitious.

Considering the year you had, I'm truly impressed with the 46 new recipes. Truly, well done.

Thanks! Nice to see you here.
:)
I put that recipe list in memories so I could go back to it since I saw a few things I really want to try. I love the comments you put in the recipes as you go along.

Thanks to your recommending this challenge, I hit 52 for last year. If you want to see them, just look under 2006 recipes tags in my journal.

I'm definitely game to do it again. I just made a paprika and lemon roasted chicken from cooking light on Sunday I need to upload pics and recipe on to my journal.
